Familles, forêts et grands hapalémurs : tous unis ! – la suite 4 et fin

Nous avons organisé 3 autres week-ends d’échange à Sahofika et Vohitrarivo ainsi que des visites des groupes de petits hapalémurs et de lémurs à ventre roux à Vohitrarivo et Sahofika.  Les participants ont ainsi pu découvrir 2 autres espèces de lémuriens présentes sur le site du programme Bamboo Lemur.

Au total, 15 visites ont été organisées dont 4 week-ends. Les familles de chaque village ont été invitées à partager leur expérience au cours de 4 journées dont 2 ont été consacrées aux activités de reboisement d’Helpsimus. Les familles ont alors planté des plantes forestières avec notre équipe d’agronomes contribuant ainsi à la protection de l’habitat des lémuriens.

A la fin, les 40 familles ont été réunies à Tsaratanana où elles ont créé une banderole sur laquelle elles ont apposé leur empreinte de main s’engageant ainsi à protéger le grand hapalémur et leur biodiversité.

Menabe (peintre malgache) était également présent pour aider à la réalisation de la banderole. Il a animé l’évènement en chantant et en faisant danser les enfants.

Trois petites filles avaient aussi préparé un poème.

Tous les participants étaient très contents de ce projet où ils ont appris beaucoup de choses sur leur biodiversité mais aussi comment la protéger à travers notamment le travail des guides auquel ils ont participé.

Ils étaient également très contents d’avoir fait ces activités en famille.

Enfin, nous avons recruté un nouveau guide parmi les participants pour renforcer l’équipe de Sahofika en charge du suivi du groupe V et des lémurs à ventre roux.

Mary, notre nouvelle éducatrice continuera les visites pour tous les villages du programme Bamboo Lemur.

We organized 3 other exchanges of familles at Sahofika and Vohitrarivo as well as several visits to the Ranomafana bamboo lemurs and red-bellied lemurs groups at Vohitrarivo and Sahofika. The participants discovered 2 other lemur species living on the site of the Bamboo Lemur program.

A total of 15 visits were organized including 4 weekends. Families from each village were invited to share their experience during 4 days, 2 of which were spent on Helpsimus reforestation activities. The families planted forest plants with our team of agronomists thus contributing to the protection of the lemur habitat.

At the end, the 40 families were reunited in Tsaratanana where they created a banner on which they put their handprint, thus committing themselves to protect the greater bamboo lemur and their biodiversity.

Menabe (Malagasy painter) was also present to assist in making the banner. He animated the event by singing and made the children dancing.

Three little girls had also prepared a poem.

All the participants were very happy with this project where they learned a lot about their biodiversity but also how to protect it through, among other things, the work of the guides in which they participated.

They were also very happy to have done these activities with their family.

Finally, we recruited a new guide among the participants to strengthen the Sahofika team in charge of the group V and red-bellied Lemurs’ monitoring.

Mary, our new educator, will continue the visits for all the villages of the Bamboo Lemur program.
