Une visite en mars de notre Présidente a permis de faire un premier bilan du grenier communautaire de Vohimarina 1 an après sa construction. Et ce bilan est très positif puisque les habitants de Vohimarina n’ont pas eu besoin d’acheter de riz pendant la période de soudure et ont même pu faire des bénéfices!

Le chef du village a une nouvelle fois remercié Helpsimus pour son soutien. Il souhaite que notre agronome les accompagne à nouveau dans la gestion du grenier (ce qu’elle fera évidemment)!
Il précise également qu’ils ont exclu un de leurs voisins de leur Association villageoise TARATRA qui a défriché un terrain malgré leur interdiction.
Le grenier fonctionne et profite non seulement aux villageois mais également aux grands hapalémurs dont le territoire est préservé! Nous sommes fiers d’y avoir contribué!
Cette visite a été aussi l’occasion de discuter d’autres projets. Le chef du village a demandé notamment que nous réhabilitions la fontaine (don du projet il y a quelques années). Un devis sera établi bientôt.

In March, a visit of our President allowed a first assessment of the communty attic at Vohimarina, 1 year after its construction. And this assessment is very positive since the residents of Vohimarina did not need to buy rice during the hunger gap and were even able to make a profit!

The chief of the village thanked again Helpsimus for its support. He wanted our agronomist continues her contribution to the management of the community attic (what she will do of course!).
He specifies that they excluded one neighbor from their village assocation who cleared a land despite the ban.
The attic works well and benefits not only to the villagers but also to the greater bamboo lemurs which the territory is preserved! We are proud to have contributed to it!
This visit was also the opportunity to discuss other projects among them the rehabilitation of the fountain (donation from the project a few years ago). An estimate will be made soon.
