Gestion de l’eau

En début d’année, nous avons distribué des systèmes de récupération de l’eau de pluie à 20 familles des villages de Vohitrarivo et Sahofika dans le cadre du projet d’amélioration de la gestion de l’eau.

La fin de l’année est l’occasion d’un premier bilan qui s’avère plutôt positif à Sahofika. Les familles qui ont participé au projet sont très contentes. Non seulement, elles n’ont plus à aller à la rivière chercher l’eau mais elles ont également pu constater une amélioration de leur santé avec la consommation de cette eau : moins de diarrhée et de maux de ventre notamment.

A Vohitrarivo, la moitié des familles a continué à utiliser la citerne pour l’eau de pluie ; l’autre moitié l’a utilisé pour d’autres choses…le bilan est donc plus mitigé dans ce village mais cela n’en reste pas moins encourageant.

Nous souhaitons maintenant inclure dans ce projet plus de familles et plus de villages  tout en continuant  la sensibilisation.

Pour information, le coût pour équiper 4 familles qui partageront la même citerne s’élève à env. 80 euros.

At the beginning of the year, we distributed several rainwater collection systems to 20 families in the villages of Vohitrarivo and Sahofika as part of the project to improve water management.

The end of the year gives the opportunity for a first assessment that is rather positive in Sahofika. The families who participated in the project are very happy. Not only do they no longer have to go to the river to fetch water, but they have also seen an improvement in their health with the consumption of this water: less diarrhea and stomach pains in particular.

In Vohitrarivo, half of the families continued to use the water tank; the other half used it for other things … the result is a more mixed in this village but it is nonetheless encouraging.

Now we would like to include in this project more families and more villages while continuing awareness.

For information, the cost to equip 4 families who will share the same water tank amounts to approx. 80 euros.
